I'm disappointed, but I can't say I'm surprised.

Tested a bit of the e-mails. It seems mails sent in EVE-Gate to myself don't show up in-game. Mails sent to myself in-game show up in EVE-Gate only once they are read in-game.

This is a known issue for us that will be fixed soon.

Not sure if this is a bug per se, but: 1) Log in to EVE Gate and Sisi 2) Open your character profile on Sisi 3) Modify your profile contents in EVE Gate. EVE Gate should load and confirm your profile was changed. 4) Your open character profile on Sisi should remain unchanged (since you haven't typed anything into it yet) 5) Close your character profile
Since closing the window seems to tell the client to save whatever is written as your profile, there exists a sort-of race condition for saving the profile contents.
My ExpertÖ advice: explicit "Save profile" button in the EVE client

Also, yay EVE gate!
Okay, blocking would be another option, but you generally don't want to block calls for an extended period of time. There's no way to know how long a client will have the bio page open. Also, if the client crashes with the bio open, you could have a messy situation.
Originally by: L'Petit Object Your Alpha has month old info on Eve Gate. Says I'm not training, am 30 million dollars poorer and have a million less SP. FYI. As designed?
As others have been told in the thread: EVE Gate is currently connected to the Singularity mirror (and all that entails), not Tranquility.

Originally by: Narkhana It should be pointed out that if your character has another character set to +10 standings then that other character will be able to see all your contacts. I sure hope this doesn't mean that any corp/alliance I set to +10 will be able to see all my contacts. Regardless, you need to either state this in bold letters to everyone or you need to disable it until you do (or until the release). In other words, right now whomever I have set to +10 can see all my contacts.
Oh yeah, I can't change the the standings through the browser, only the cancel button on the popup works.
It's hard-coded right now, but if you check the "Account Settings" link in the upper-right ( https://test.evegate.com/Account/Settings ) there's an example of what privacy settings might be available in the future.

Originally by: Narkhana Edited by: Narkhana on 23/03/2010 20:43:32 It might be hard-coded now and editable in the future but those contacts are still available for viewing right now. I.E. don't make the contacts visible unless we have the ability to hide them!
I guess a work-around for now would be to remove all your contacts (since it's just a Sisi mirror anyway) if you're concerned about contact data mining.

It might be in CCP's best interest to post a list of "supported browsers" for testing. I get the feeling they don't expect it to run on the PS3 anyway
